  11. Just received my fixed firmware for my Practical Peripherals
  12. PC-288 LCD modem.  Upgrade went well, except the front cover
  13. is difficult to separate from the rear chassis.

  15. Replaced the firmware and now the modem works fine receiving
  16. faxes from fax machines. It could not negotiate properly
  17. before, though Fax sending and data send/receive worked
  18. fine.

  20. This makes it a good modem, though I had to wait SIX months 
  21. for it to work properly.

  23. Thought you all would want to know.

  25. (BTW, I use Winfax Pro for faxing.)
